Hello Lovely Friends,
Today I was thinking about some strange habits I have when I travel, specifically when arriving at a hotel, lodge or B&B so I thought I’d share them with you!
I always investigate the complimentary amenities – I have no idea why I do this, I just find mini sized bottles of toiletries quite intriguing.
When getting into bed, I strip the bed – I do this to make sure there aren’t any sinister creepy crawlies lurking around especially if it’s a safari lodge, you’d be surprised how quickly they sneak in! Plus I absolutely hate sleeping in a bed with a sheet.
I like to check for a mini fridge – To keep my can of Pepsi Max cool. The thought of going to bed without something to drink in the middle of the night sends me into a state of panic.
Searching for the plug nearest the bed – I always fall asleep watching Youtube video’s and hate having to get up and plug my phone in across the room when I’m just on the edge of sleep.
I always read the room booklet front to back – It’s really quite interesting! I love one that is full of information about activities in the area, what’s on the dinner menu, info about room service and facts about the surrounding environment.
I’ve just realised a lot of my habits have to do with sleep but I’m not ashamed to admit that it’s one of my favourite pass times when I’m not working, travelling or blogging. Let me know in the comments if you have any weird travel habits! Please note that this is supposed to be a humorous blog post and should not be taken very seriously.
